AMIGOS TRAVEL TERMS AND CONDITIONS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Travel\narrangements made with us are operated by King Island Eco Lodge Pty Ltd, as\ntrustee for The King Island Trust, trading as Amigos Tours & Travel\n(hereinafter known as “the Company”) ABN 22503417505. By asking us to\nmake travel arrangements on your behalf, whether by phone, email or face to\nface, you accept all bookings are subject to the following terms and\nconditions:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 – DEPOSIT:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n A\ndeposit of an amount requested is to be paid to the Company to make make the\narrangements as requested. Many of the ground arrangements and some flights\nhave to be pre-paid in full, so once your itinerary has been confirmed, the\ndeposit is non-refundable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 \u2013 PERSONAL DETAILS: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\nyour responsibility to ensure personal details on this form are exactly as per\nyour passport. Errors may cause denial of travel services and the passenger is\nresponsible for any additional charges relating to this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 \u2013 CONFIRMATION: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Your\nitinerary is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from the\nCompany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4 – TRAVEL INSURANCE: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Personal\ntravel insurance is compulsory. You should be satisfied that your insurance\ncover fully meets your personal requirements especially in respect to death,\npersonal injury or illness, in all countries travelled to during the itinerary\nand that it extends until your arrival home. This insurance should also cover\nagainst cancellation charges. We recommend that insurance be taken out at the time\nyou pay your deposit. In the event of a claim against a travel insurance policy\nthat has not been purchased through Amigos Travel, we reserve the right to\ncharge an administration fee of $250 to fulfil documentation requests made to\nus by your insurance company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5 – PAYMENT OF BALANCE:<\/strong> The\nbalance of the tour must be paid no later than 90 days prior to departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6 – PRICE CHANGES:<\/strong> Although highly\nunlikely, tour prices can\nincrease prior to our receipt of full\npayment from you<\/strong> due to reasons beyond our control – such as major currency\nfluctuations, variation of hotel contract rates or airline price increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7 – CANCELLATION CHARGES:<\/strong> If you cancel your booking, cancellation\ncharges will be charged according to the following scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n – more than ninety days prior to departure –\nforfeit deposit- 90 days or less\nprior to departure – forfeit payment for all services already prepaid to\nairlines and ground service suppliers. This may be 100% of the tour cost. – 30\ndays or less – no refund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 8 – DOCUMENTATION:<\/strong> All\ndocumentation, including passports, visas, re-entry permits, vaccination\ncertificates etc. are your responsibility. Any advice given to you on any of\nthese matters is general only and not specific to your circumstance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9 – EXCLUSIONS:<\/strong> Items not covered\nin your itinerary: visas, insurance, excess baggage, meals not shown as\nincluded, laundry, drinks, souvenirs, tipping, airport entry & departure\ntaxes, vaccinations and items of a personal nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 10 – BAGGAGE:<\/strong> Baggage is\nlimited to two suitcases of maximum weight 23kg, an airways type shoulder bag\nor day pack and camera case. This baggage allowance may change for internal\nflights so please reconfirm this before departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 11 – EARLY EXIT:<\/strong> In the event of a\nPassenger not completing the itinerary for any reason, any extra expenses are\nthe Passenger’s responsibility and the Company shall not be liable for any\nrefund, either total or partial, of money paid for any unused services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 12 – PASSENGERS:<\/strong> All passengers\nmust comply with all legislation, visas, immigration, customs, foreign exchange\n& health regulations of the countries visited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 13 – AUTHORITY:<\/strong> Passengers will\naccept the authority and decisions of tour leaders and guides appointed by the\nCompany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 14 – THE COMPANYS LIABILITY:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n (a)<\/strong> The Passenger hereby agrees\nthat no liability will attach to the Company, its servants or agents in respect\nof death, personal injury or illness of the Passenger and\/or the loss or damage\nto the property and effects of the Passenger during the course of the itinerary\nhowsoever caused. The Company shall not\nbe liable for any damage, losses or additional expenses suffered as a result of\ncancellation, sickness, repatriation, accident, delay, late completion of tour,\nmechanical breakdowns, weather, lockout, Act of God or other causes. The\nPassenger travels on the full understanding that for certain countries visited,\nno (or in some cases very limited) passenger liability insurance is available\nand that he\/she therefore travels entirely at his\/her own risk. For the purposes of this clause the Company\nshall be deemed to contract as agents for its servants and its independent\ncontractors as well as on its own behalf. \nThis clause shall not apply so as to exempt the Company from any\nliability in respect of which the Company is obliged to by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n (b)<\/strong>\u00a0 If the fulfilment of any tour is rendered impossible, illegal, or in the Company’s opinion inadvisable, by strike, war, epidemic, governmental interference or any other cause beyond the Company’s control, the Company reserves the right to at any time to cancel such tour, or the remainder thereof or to modify the itinerary in any way considered necessary or desirable, and to change any reservation and\/or means of conveyance, accommodation or other details thereof that it thinks fit without notice. This would be without allowance or refund but the extra cost, if any, resulting therefrom must be paid by the Passenger. The Passenger shall be bound by any cancellation or alteration made under the provisions of this clause and shall not be entitled to recover any sum paid by him\/her.
